The Lion King hit maker shown up at "The Boss EP Concrete" with a "Cando" instead of Car after taking Car money from program organizers. On the 28th of November 2025, a program in titled, The Boss EP Concrete was held in the Upper West Region of Ghana - Wellembelle. The Lion King hit maker "Rekordz Gh" was one of the key artist that majority of the crowd was waiting to see. Wendy Shay files police complaint after defamatory lesbian allegation

  Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay has reported a viral video to the Ghana Police Service after a young man accused her of being involved in lesbianism. In the video, the man claimed that Wendy Shay was in a sexual relationship with Tracy Shay, the young girl she adopted after she became popular for dancing to her song. He also made offensive statements, suggesting that a spiritualist told Wendy Shay to do inappropriate things with the girl. Wendy Shay reacted quickly. She asked the public to help her find the man behind the video and offered a GHS 5,000 reward for anyone who could identify him. In a statement posted online, she confirmed that she has officially filed a complaint with the police. She also revealed that the man has been traced to the United Arab Emirates, where he works with a construction company. Preliminary report reveals breach by illegal miners, says Heath Goldfields

  Heath Goldfields Ltd has released a preliminary account of the tragic incident that claimed three lives on its Prestea concession, confirming that the victims forcibly entered the underground mine through unapproved access points. In a statement issued on November 18, management said “preliminary reports indicate that these individuals used unauthorised routes to access a restricted area of the Mine, leading to the tragic loss of 3 lives.” The company described the event as “unfortunate” and said the miners infiltrated an inactive section of the underground workings before becoming trapped. Heath Goldfields expressed sorrow over the deaths, noting, “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Prestea community during this difficult period. Finance Minister Dr Ato Forson set to review VAT rate, roll out major tax reforms in 2026 Budget

  Finance Minister Dr Ato Forson is set to announce a reduction in the effective VAT rate to be paid by businesses from next year. This will be captured in the 2026 Budget, which will be presented to Parliament later today. The Finance Minister is also expected to announce a major review of the country’s tax laws. There are strong indications that Dr Ato Forson will move to scrap the COVID-19 Levy. Some analysts are already describing this as a “total revamp” of Ghana’s tax laws — similar to the sweeping changes introduced between 2013 and 2016. Sources say the move forms part of government’s broader plan to simplify the tax regime for businesses and improve compliance. El-Wak Stampede: Six dead, five in ICU, twelve in critical condition – GAF gives breakdown

  The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has provided a detailed update on casualties from Wednesday’s tragic stampede during its recruitment exercise at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra. According to the GAF, a total of 28 applicants were rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for emergency treatment. Out of this number, six were confirmed dead, five are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and twelve others remain in critical condition. This came up when President John Mahama visited the 37 Military Hospital in Accra to obtain further information regarding the tragic stampede. The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, the acting Defence Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, and other government officials accompanied Mr Mahama. 260km Wa-Han-Tumu-Navrongo-Hamile Project Kicks Off Under Big Push Agenda

  President John Mahama has launched a massive road construction project covering more than 260 kilometres across the Upper West and Upper East regions. The project, part of the government’s Big Push Initiative, represents an investment of GH¢3.7 billion and is being described as the largest road infrastructure effort in the northern corridor in recent years. The sod-cutting ceremony, held on November 12, 2025, marked the start of works on key routes linking Wa, Han, Tumu, Navrongo and Hamile. The project aims to improve transport, boost trade, and make it easier for farmers, traders and schoolchildren to move across the regions. Under the plan, Wa City Centre will see the dualisation of the Wa–UDS–City Centre Road to ease congestion and give the capital a facelift.
