Vehicles burnt after accident involving fuel tanker on Nsawam–Accra road

 

Seven vehicles have been destroyed by fire after a crash involving a fuel tanker on the Nsawam–Accra highway in the early hours of Saturday, February 14.

Accra-based GhanaTrends.Rako News reported that the tanker was involved in a collision that triggered an explosion, leading to a massive blaze that quickly spread to nearby vehicles.

Thick black smoke rose from the scene, attracting the attention of motorists and residents in the area as emergency teams rushed to respond.

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service have been working to bring the flames under control and stop the fire from spreading further along the highway.

Meanwhile, no deaths or injuries have been confirmed so far, although emergency responders continue to assess the situation and monitor for any late casualties.
